New Models Open At The Legacy at Millennium Park
CHICAGO (PRWEB) June 24, 2015 -- Two new model residences are open at The Legacy at Millennium Park, a 72-story new construction high-rise in Chicago’s Loop. The models highlight two- and three-bedroom residences available in the building.
Located at 60 E. Monroe St., overlooking Millennium Park, Lake Michigan and downtown Chicago, The Legacy features a total of 355 luxury condominiums with fewer than 40 remaining for purchase. Available homes range in price from $692,000 to $2.15 million. Floor plans range from 1,342 to 2,436 square feet. Garage parking is available from $55,000 to $70,000 per space.
The models, by Chicago-based interior design firm Mary Cook Associates, showcase The Legacy’s Park and Skyline residences in tiers 01 and 03, located on floors 16 through 40. The 03 tier is on the south side of the building, while the 01 is on the northeast side.
Unit 2001 is a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath floor plan with 1,750 square feet. It includes a large living/dining area with hardwood floors; eat-in kitchen with island; Sub-Zero and Bosch appliances; granite countertops; floor-to-ceiling windows; lake and park views; and a private balcony. The master suite has a walk-in closet and en-suite bath with double-vanity, separate shower and soaking tub.
The model features a sophisticated décor with transitional furnishings and a color scheme of soothing blues and greys. The master bedroom includes a built-in antique mirrored wall that picks up the reflection of Lake Michigan and Millennium Park.
“The star of the 01 tier is the view of Millennium Park, Maggie Daley Park and Lake Michigan, so we really wanted to highlight that in the decorating,” said Mary Cook, president of Mary Cook Associates. “At the same time, we wanted to show a home that was comfortable, luxurious and functional. This floor plan gives buyers a great palate to work with when creating a luxury city residence.”
Unit 2003 includes two-bedrooms and two full baths in a 1,487-square-foot layout. This home offers an open living/dining area with an adjoining private balcony overlooking Lake Michigan, the historic University Club of Chicago and the green terra cotta-tiled roof of the landmark Monroe Building. Upscale finishes include hardwood floors; Sub-Zero and Bosch appliances; designer cabinetry; and granite countertops. The model features a contemporary design with rustic accents including a solid wood block coffee table and dining chairs with woven leather seats and iron legs.
“The 03 model is a great example of how much living space buyers get at The Legacy,” said Cook. “We looked at this space and realized it could handle statement-making furniture and accessories and still come off as very sophisticated and cool. It’s got a very ‘heart of the city’ feel to it.”
“The two- and three-bedroom residences at The Legacy appeal to a wide range of buyers, and that’s reflected in the design of these new models. Prospective buyers will also see that, while the building is nearing sellout, there is still an assortment of great floor plans, views and prices,” said James Hanson, principal of Mesa Development, which developed the building in partnership with Walsh Investors, LLC.
Homebuyers have purchased more than $21 million worth of inventory at The Legacy thus far in 2015, according to George Schultz of @properties, the exclusive sales and marketing firm for the development.
“We’re seeing a surge in sales activity as buyers are recognizing this may be their last opportunity to purchase a new home in this iconic building,” said Schultz. “And with new restaurants like Seven Lions and new attractions like the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel and Maggie Daley Park opening in the area, more and more people want to live in this exciting neighborhood.”
Legacy homeowners also have access to upscale amenities including a fitness center, indoor pool, two hospitality suites with adjoining outdoor terraces, and a 13th floor sky-bridge that connects the building to the adjacent University Club of Chicago.*
