New Nationwide Internet TV Station to Launch Called TheatreGuide.TV Now Accepting Show Submission Applications from TV Producers
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) February 20, 2014 -- TheatreGuide.TV, when launched, will be a free nationwide internet TV station dedicated to original programming about theatre, music, and dance. TheatreGuide.TV is currently accepting show submission applications from TV producers to add to its program lineup.
Mark Beachy, who is also the publisher of two online magazine’s called MD Theatre Guide and NY Theatre Guide, is creating TheatreGuide.TV in order to expand upon his mission to educate and entertain online viewers on theatre, music, and dance. Both MD Theatre Guide and NY Theatre Guide already produce original videos and even some live webcasts. According to eMarketer, the number of online video viewers in the US is expected to grow to 193.1 million in 2014, so the idea of a nationwide internet TV station dedicated to theatre seems like a good niche to fill.

What Types of Shows is TheatreGuide.TV Seeking:
TheatreGuide.TV is open to any family friendly program pertaining to theatre, music, or dance that is entertaining or educational. This could mean theatrical performances, acting instruction, competition shows, reality shows, arts advocacy, or news. Maybe someone has written a book on singing and would like their own show that teaches singing? Maybe an arts organization would like to discuss issues on the arts? Maybe publishing companies who rent the rights to musicals or plays would like a TV program that promotes their catalog? Theatre companies could have their own show that promotes their current or upcoming productions. Or maybe one would like to produce a weekly musical variety show? The program can be a one-time special or weekly series. The ideas are endless.
How to Submit a Show Application:
The internet TV station is free for viewers to watch, but there is a modest fee for producers wishing to buy air time and secure a time slot. In other words, each program should have a sponsor in order to create the program. Think PBS: “This program is brought to you by…” TheatreGuide.TV provides the opportunity to produce a show that will air on the station as well as connections to its audience, including its thousands of readers on MD and NY Theatre Guide. Companies may also purchase ad space for before or after programs, but no traditional commercials are permitted during programs. At this time the set-up will be 6 hours of available original programming per day. The programs will then repeat 3 other times within the 24 hour period. The air time is blocked in 30 minute time slots with 30 minute slot minimum. The program can be a one-time special or weekly series. About Publisher Mark Beachy:
Mark Beachy is the publisher and video producer of the MD Theatre Guide and the NY Theatre Guide. In 1997 he wrote the play, music, and lyrics in a musical called, “’Bout Baltimore.” This musical won the WMAR TV Channel 2 and Pumpkin Theatre Baltimore Bicentennial Playwriting contest and was produced as a 1-hour television special. He has directed over 40 productions, including shows for Pumpkin Theatre, Timonium Dinner Theatre, Howard County Center for the Arts, and the Baltimore Children’s Theatre where he was the founder and producer for 7 years.
