New Network App Helps Artists and Business Owners Gain Exposure
Newport News, VA (PRWEB) April 07, 2014 -- Often technology is blamed for impeding social interaction, but many apps and websites actually enhance their social interface by encouraging people to network. A new app called Network seeks to help directly connect artists and entrepreneurs with their fans, bypassing the necessity for agents and media relations teams. Network’s inventor, Micah Davis, has created a crowdfunding campaign ending April 11 to help raise money for the app’s development.
Network is a search engine that creates its database of information from social media posts, like those on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and others. Rather than searching Internet articles and blogs for reviews of artists and businesses, Network finds the actual chatter among real people to deliver real search results. “My app is something smart phone enthusiasts as well as social media enthusiasts can rally behind,” said Davis. “It’s targeted. It’s personal. It’s innovative.”
The need for Network arose from Micah’s own dissatisfaction with the process of connecting with fans. As musician and young entrepreneur, Davis experienced niche success with social media but was discouraged to know that he and other musicians and business owners were in hiding within their own factions. “Network will find the gems, the talent, and garner them the exposure they need to grow their audience and find success,” said Davis.
A 20-year-old musician and now app inventor, Davis performs as Masego Music using live looping and sampling to the styles of jazz fusion, electronic dance music, and alternative hip-hop. “I understand the need for artists and young entrepreneurs to network – with their fans as well as business-to-business,” said Davis. “My app is a first step in the right direction.”
Davis’ plans to build upon his Network app include mirroring the app’s capabilities on the corresponding website WeMustNetwork.com. Other future plans include global collaborations, an android version of the app, and possibly sponsoring a television show to showcase the app’s connection capabilities. Currently in the developmental phase, supporters can show their backing by contributing to the crowdfunding campaign. With support levels ranging from $5 to $500, just about anyone can help launch the Network.
