NEW North Texas Luncheon Will Help Retail and CPG Executives ‘Take Control’ of Careers
DALLAS (PRWEB) September 12, 2016 -- The Network of Executive Women’s NEW North Texas region Fall Luncheon will feature a panel of retail and consumer goods industry professionals, Wednesday, October 26 at the Cooper Center in Dallas.
The panelist will represent three career stages: a mid-career manager, a seasoned leader and retired executive. All industry members are invited to “lunch and learn” with “this powerful panel of women as they discuss advancement strategies and how to navigate their work and personal lives to find the optimal work and life balance,” organizers said.
The panel discussion will feature:
Erin King, Category Manager, 7-Eleven, an experienced, energetic category manager with more than eight years in the retail industry. Since 2008, Erin has been at 7-Eleven advancing progressively from Field Consultant, Zone Merchandiser and Associate Category Manager before her promotion to Category Manager.
Lisa Grams, Managing Partner, 3 Grams Food Group Inc., a leader in the natural foods industry recognized for taking small brands and companies in consumer packaged goods to medium and large size organizations with speed to market efficiency.
Barbara Daugherty, Retired Frito-Lay Executive. Barbara retired from Frito-Lay after nearly 30 years of service, including Director of Merchandising Strategy and Design, Customer Marketing Manager and National Sales Marketing Manager. Since retirement, Barb has written a book, “A Village of Its Own,” and co-edited a textbook for POPAI, “Marketing at Retail.”
Moderator, Karin Thrift, Director of Sales, Clif Bar & Company. Karin has been involved with the c-store industry for over 30 years, most recently at Clif Bar & Co. for 17 years. Karin has served on the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) supplier board and currently serves as Co-Chair, Logistics for the North Texas Board of the Network of Executive Women.
The luncheon will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Cooper Center, 12200 Preston Road, in Dallas. The event is open to the public. Registration is $50 for NEW members, $60 for non-members. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Walk-ins will be accepted on the day of the event with an additional $5 to the registration fee.
