New Novel Offers Glimpse Into Deep South Life During Post-WWII Period
Gallatin, TN (PRWEB) January 27, 2017 -- Julia A. Roberts’ debut novel, “Love, Lust, and Regrets in the Deep South” (published by Archway Publishing), is a tale of love, deception and forgiveness that follows a family residing in the Deep South after World War II who harbor secrets that, when revealed, have the power to change everything.
“This book started out as a journal of memories about growing up in the Deep South. It was not intended to be a book at that time,” Roberts explains. “I wrote most of my book during my recovery from breast cancer. Writing each day helped me get through some difficult and trying times. My husband and my friends encouraged me to continue writing and complete this novel.”
The collection of memories that turned into the novel touches upon the value of family and how families can be torn apart through lies and deceit, and continues down throughout generations. Though each character in the book has their own story, readers will come to find how each are in some way linked to Katherine – the main character. Roberts offers insight into the Deep South’s unique culture and provides a glimpse into what daily life may have been like in the South during the post-WWII period.
