New On-Demand Presentation from SAE International Will Explore Designing Compact Engines for Rental Companies
WARRENDALE, Pa. (PRWEB) February 17, 2015 -- SAE International offers the new, on-demand presentation, “Designing an Engine for Multi-Use Compact Equipment.”
Can you design a compact engine to meet the needs of both equipment rental companies and small independent businesses? While rental companies look for equipment that provides a simple and profitable rental, small business owners are typically interested in the productivity, comfort, and fuel consumption of their equipment.
During this free, 10-minute mini webcast, which is sponsored by Perkins, attendees will examine why, in the design of a sub-system such as an engine, it’s important to understand and address the needs of both these customers. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to ask the expert speaker questions during the webcast.
Lead speaker will be: Oliver Lythgoe, Product Concept Marketing Manager, Perkins.
Mr. Lythgoe has worked for Perkins Engines Company Limited for 14 years. He possesses in-depth experience in the power systems industry, which has been accumulated over the past 19 years. Oliver initially joined Perkins to manage the electronic applications engineering team, during which time he helped over 100 OEMs with the electronic integration of their engine and machine systems, developing a clear understanding of their challenges and of machine architecture. In his current role, Mr. Lythgoe listens to and works alongside global OEMs to understand their requirements for future product development across all emissions standards. He has a degree in electronics from Nottingham Trent University.
