CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (PRWEB) December 05, 2017 -- The Lean Enterprise Institute (LEI), a global leader in lean management thinking and practice, today announced the launch of “Introduction to Lean Thinking and Practice.” It is a 30-hour online course for individuals, teams, and companies on how to apply lean principles, systems, and concepts. Lean management thought leader, practitioner, and bestselling author John Shook teaches the workshop.
LEI developed this course with the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In 2017, the Financial Times ranked Isenberg's online master of business administration program #1 in the U.S. and #3 worldwide.
“Lean enterprises are lean because they are full of lean thinkers,” says Shook. “And lean transformations begin with acquiring fundamental knowledge and getting experience, or as Toyota says, ‘Before we build cars, we build people.’ This self-paced, interactive course consists of practical, actionable learning that will help you build the foundation for an organization chock-full of lean thinking problem solvers.”
Workshop content will benefit:
• People new to lean and continuous improvement
• Individuals looking to improve their lean understanding and skills
• Organizations wanting to level set the lean knowledge of their workforce to speed progress
Lessons are delivered in a variety of formats, including video, activities, readings by lean experts, and case studies. Participants who complete the self-paced course within the required 90 days will receive a certificate of completion. Special pricing is available for large groups.
