New ORO Editions Architectural Monograph Features Ward + Blake Architects of Jackson Hole
Jackson Hole, Wyoming (PRWEB) September 27, 2013 -- A new monograph by ORO Editions features the work of award-winning Jackson Hole, Wyo., architecture firm Ward + Blake Architects, announced the fine arts publisher. The new book, entitled "In the Shadows of the Tetons," presents large-scale photographs of designs by Ward + Blake, including noteworthy residential, institutional and commercial architecture. Ward + Blake Architects is known for drawing inspiration from the distinctive Western landscapes and historical and cultural contexts of its projects, as well as for innovative and sustainable use of materials and construction practices.

Principal Mitch Blake, AIA, met the publisher of ORO Editions in Singapore at the 2012 World Architecture Festival where a Ward + Blake project had been shortlisted for an award. “I was intrigued by ORO’s international presence and honored that they were interested in publishing our work,” says Blake.

Top architectural photographers whose images are featured in the new book include: Paul Warchol, a New York-based photographer of architecture and design; Roger Wade, who has been producing striking architectural and interior design photography for more than 20 years; Douglas Kahn, a Colorado-based architectural and fine art photographer who practiced architecture in New York City until 1980; and Ed Riddell, founder of Riddell Advertising & Design and an avid outdoorsman who blends his passion for photography with the outdoors.
In addition, Marlon Blackwell, FAIA, who practices architecture in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and serves as Distinguished Professor and Department Head in the School of Architecture at the University of Arkansas, and David J. Buege, a professor and Fay Jones Chair in Architecture at the University of Arkansas, wrote the forward and contributed to the editorial content of the book.
