New Ownership Structure Positions Amerinet for Industry Leading Growth and Success – Bolsters Executive Team with Key Appointments to Enable Visionary Execution
St. Louis, Mo. (PRWEB) July 15, 2015 -- The recent acquisition of ARI by Intermountain Healthcare of Amerinet will create a professional supply chain company that offers a comprehensive suite of services to empower healthcare providers to better manage their entire non-labor spend and ultimately deliver superior care.
“The scope of the supply chain extends across every healthcare vertical, across every business line and through all expense categories. Most group purchasing organizations leverage volume aggregation in an attempt to primarily solve for one business line, in one vertical, in one expense category,” said Brent Johnson, Amerinet president and CEO. “Amerinet will be much more than the typical GPO. We will offer an end-to-end supply chain solution that gives customers the ability to optimize the people, processes and technology within their systems to deliver the greatest value.”
Volume aggregation in the current GPO industry tends to focus on those areas of mid to high category spend and low category complexity. Amerinet’s solutions will extend beyond traditional aggregation strategies and allow for solutions across all categories of spend. The vision and strategy of the New Amerinet will be to enable its members to effectively manage their entire non-labor spend with products, services and technologies, developed at Intermountain Healthcare and other progressive providers. This is a provider to provider solution that has the significant ability to change healthcare moving forward and bend the cost curve.
This unique strategy is born from the belief that it’s not sufficient for healthcare to focus solely on cost reduction strategies. Providers must have the necessary infrastructure and the supporting strategy to deliver the cost, quality and clinical outcomes they need. Amerinet’s provider-centric strategy will help to enable organizations by aiding with strategy, assisting in the development of the appropriate infrastructure and offering a suite of solutions to support specific needs.
“Amerinet now has the opportunity to create game-changing solutions as it relates to a transformational approach to the healthcare supply chain and the GPO engagement model,” said Johnson. “Our solutions will improve efficiency and maximize financial value for our members, while enhancing their ability to provide the highest quality of care to the patients they serve.”
To execute on its new strategy, Amerinet also announced the appointments of Jeremy Belinski as EVP & Chief Operating Officer and Jason Baumgartner as Chief Sales Officer.
Belinski’s background includes expertise in consulting strategy and execution, healthcare information products and services, operations management, business development and corporate strategy. He previously served as Senior Vice President and GM, Population Health Management, with MedAssets, Senior Vice President with Aspen Healthcare Metrics, and as an associate with Booz Allen Hamilton, a management and technology consulting group. He is a graduate of the University of Utah.
Baumgartner has spent his entire professional career in healthcare, starting at Allegiance/Cardinal Health where he held several roles in sales, sales management and national accounts. He has also served as a Regional Vice President of Sales for Health Trust Purchasing group, where he was instrumental in helping develop the Parallon supply chain and as a Regional Vice President of Sales with MedSpeed. Baumgartner served as Vice President of Enterprise Solutions for Premier Inc. His most recent experience in business development and commercialization with Intermountain Healthcare has provided him with first-hand experience of the industry changing products, services and technologies that Intermountain has brought and will bring to the New Amerinet organization. He is a graduate of Utah State University.
