New Personal Growth Book Shares Author Story of Healing from Abuse, Aims to Help Others
INVERCARGILL, New Zealand (PRWEB) June 20, 2017 -- Inspired to help others after finding peace, Fleur Beaufort wrote “Recovery through Creativity: Overcoming Superhero Syndrome” (published by Balboa Press AU), which focuses on the journey of a young woman who experiences abuse at 14.
“Many people today are affected by adversity, trauma and abuse,” Beaufort says. “This book helps people to become aware of the affects of these things on our lives and those around us, and offers information and ideas to support people who want to seek healing. It will also be useful to those who are helping and supporting abuse victims.”
Told from her perspective as a 54-year-old woman, Beaufort’s “Recovery through Creativity” shares her story of how creativity and self-expression through the arts helped her heal from the abuse, post-traumatic stress and depression she suffered. Beaufort also includes some poetry with her story as well as offering information and ideas to support people who want to seek healing.
