New poet Esther Mohammed showcases life’s myriad emotions

Newtown, CT (PRWEB) July 30, 2014 -- For poet Esther Mohammed, human emotions are sometimes indecipherable. People need to listen to their body’s response to find out how they truly feel. In “Wild Butterflies” (published by Xlibris), Mohammed shares that recognizing emotions is the key to understanding oneself.

“Wild Butterflies” is a collection of poems divided into four topics—Passing Summer Showers, Feelings of Ambrosia or Bitter Truth, The Flight or Flight Moment and Wild Butterflies. In these poems, Mohammed recalls the people who had become part of her life. One of her poems lovingly remembers Moses who grew up in an orphanage since he was two. Another describes Marigold, her childhood friend who died at age six. Mohammed also dedicates some verses to those who lost their lives in the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre on December 2012. These and other poignant pieces evoke different emotions, making readers reminisce their own experiences.

Through her book, Mohammed wants readers to practice self-awareness, be in command over their emotions to know how to deal with difficult situations appropriately.
