New Poll Reveals Singles Want a Fleet Week Hook Up in the Dugout at Yankee Stadium

Miami Beach, FL (PRWEB) May 27, 2014 -- This week, singles in Manhattan are taking P.D.A (public displays of affection) to almost illegal levels. In a new poll conducted by Militarysingles.com, the largest online dating community for military singles, Fleet Week is a great time to hook up with a serviceman or servicewoman – in public! More than 65% of men polled wanted to hook up in the dugout at Yankee Stadium, while 55% of women preferred a hot hook up at the High Line. These Fleet Week encounters are not just a quick fling; the majority of both men and women polled hoped a hook up would lead to a long-term relationship.

When asked which members of the military they would like to hook up with during Fleet Week, the majority of men (70%) polled preferred a Sailor, while the majority of women (50%) voted to hook up with a Marine. It’s no surprise that majority of women (85%) would hook up with a military serviceman during Fleet Week because they love a man in uniform, while the majority of men (70%) polled are attracted to military servicewomen because they are in terrific shape.

Active military singles, retired military, and single civilians responded to the poll on Militarysingles.com and via our social media platforms from May 1 – 22, 2014.

Following are the complete survey results:

Question: Fleet Week is back this year, and for many New York singles, it’s all about hooking up with a Sailor, Marine or member of the US Coast Guard. So, we’re curious, where in NYC would you take your military man/woman for a hot hook up?

Male:
In the dugout at Yankee Stadium – 65%
Top of the Empire State Building – 15%
The Statue of Liberty’s Crown – 10%
Top Deck of the Intrepid – 7%
The High Line – 2%
In the middle of Times Square – 1%

Female:
The High Line – 55%

Male:
Navy: 70%

US Coastguard: 9%

Question: Do you think it’s possible that a Fleet Week fling will turn into a long-term relationship?

Male:
Yes, long distance relationships can certainly be challenging, but if sparks fly during fleet week, there’s no reason not to try pursuing a more serious relationship: 60%

Female:
