New Prequalification Tools Available to Commercial Builders
Bryan, Texas (PRWEB) January 28, 2014 -- The latest update to the SmartBidNet cloud software for commercial construction bidding includes a completely redesigned Prequalification module including a ConsensusDocs standard prequalification form. All SmartBidnet clients, across the US, Canada, Caribbean and Middle East will now be able to utilize the ConsensusDocs 721 form built into the prequalification module of the system at no extra cost. Advanced prequalification and custom forms are still available to Premium and Professional users.
“The ConsensusDocs Coalition of 40 leading organizations is glad to work with SmartBidNet in providing another tool to help the industry and construction stakeholders to select their contractors wisely. In today’s competitive marketplace, asking the right prequalification questions can easily mean the difference between success and failure,” comments Brian Perlberg, Executive Director of ConsensusDocs.
With the ConsensusDocs 721 form integration, all builders using the SmartBidNet software are able to send the standard electronic form to subcontractors, collect and review subcontractor responses directly to the system, send requests for information (RFIs) and sync company profile information in their subcontractor database with the information submitted via the ConsensusDocs 721 form.
“We are confident that it will not take long for our users to see the significant value in utilizing the new ConsensusDocs integration. Sending an industry-accepted, standardized form simplifies the prequalification process for both subcontractor and general contractor. We’re grateful for the work ConsensusDocs has put into their resources and grateful they are allowing us to integrate those resources into our system,” stated JBKnowledge (Makers of SmartBidNet) President James Benham.
In addition to the ConsensusDocs 721 form now available to all users, SmartBidNet clients who pay for the custom prequalification module have a wealth of new features and capabilities. Users can now create custom project-specific prequalification forms. This allows GCs to maintain separate prequalification statuses, contract limits, and expiration dates for a specific project. When approving a project-specific prequal, the GC has the option to update the subcontractor’s overall status/limit/expiration with that data.
There have also been numerous improvements to the customized form builder, review process administration, and syncing of prequalification data throughout the subcontractor database.
