New Private Freight Bidding Marketplace Solution Offered to any Shipper or Broker
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 28, 2015 -- In the recent past freight bidding and freight quoting processes have been handled by bulk emails, phone calls and sometimes TMS solutions for shippers and brokers. ComFreight, the mobile friendly logistics marketplace for commercial freight is now offering a private white label solution for select Shippers and Brokers who are interested in having their own closed system for freight bidding within their network. This is an even more advanced option for companies who want to have their own private version of the platform rather than simply integrating with ComFreight's posting and bidding API.
The freight marketplace model for commercial freight has proven extremely beneficial in increasing visibility for shippers, carriers and brokers in the freight quoting process. ComFreight has proven the model for commercial shippers looking to improve their cost savings for their freight moves by opening up their loads for bid to smaller carriers and transportation service providers. Average savings on commercial freight lanes for shippers on ComFreight vary from 7%-25% in some cases. Because many of these commercial shippers were originally only getting quotes from a small handful of larger common carriers or a few single source solutions via the largest brokers their options for price competition were limited.
"The private marketplace solution means that we can brand, customize and launch a customized freight bidding application, that is mobile friendly and scales for any Shipper or Broker looking to improve pricing visibility and automate the bidding processes for loads in their network with their current pool of carriers. The solution also allows the Shipper or Broker to open up their loads to our public marketplace of bidders if they so choose to increase their pricing options even more," said Steve Kochan, CEO at ComFreight.com.
The private freight marketplace solution is currently being implemented with some of the company's current users who are paying a small one time fee to have the custom branded and feature tuned marketplace developed for them to improve their operations, integrate with their TMS or WMS and order management solutions on a very short timeline for deployment. "The greatest area of interest we've seen in discussing the option with commercial shippers is the capability to open up their loads to our public marketplace users or keep them within the walls of their private community of carriers they already work with," said Kochan. The solution means the Shipper or Broker has their own web application, with their branding and logins for their current Carriers but can automatically elect to open up any load in the system to ComFreight's active userbase as well.
