New Restaurant in New Market, VA Is Certain to Become a Local Favorite
New Market, VA (PRWEB) December 29, 2013 -- Miller Grille, located at Shenvalee Golf Resort celebrated its grand opening in November where local guests, employees and Shenandoah Valley golfers enjoyed the new restaurant’s opening day.
Shenvalee Golf Resort caters to travelers from all over the United States and Canada seeking a Virginia golf vacation. For many years, Shenvalee Golf Resort offered meal options for those travelers in the old Shenvalee Restaurant, which is now used primarily for private events and limited open-to-the-public dining. Shenvalee also built a Sports Lounge to offer limited meal selections, a bar and large screen TVs to watch golf or other sports. It was primarily used to provide golfers a place to relax after a long day on the course.
“We realized something was missing at Shenvalee and in New Market,” said Karl Doller, General Manager of Shenvalee Golf Resort. “We’ve always had full kitchen facilities that serve food to our guests, but we recently decided to focus on providing a good New Market restaurant alternative to our local community and visitors coming to the Shenandoah Valley for reasons other than golf.”
Shenvalee hired a new food and beverage manager, retired the old Sports Lounge, developed a new menu and is doing ongoing interior design changes. The result is the opening of a new restaurant in New Market, VA, Miller Grille. The name honors of the Miller family, a previous Shenvalee owner. “This is way more than just a name change,” said Doller. “We changed the focus of our bar facility. The menu is upgraded and the marketing will target local people or tourists looking for an affordable, yet delicious American food restaurant choice.”
The new menu features appetizers, eight different gourmet burger selections, a variety of salads, steaks, fried chicken, several very tasty pasta meals and much more. Miller Grille boasts a sports bar with large flat screen televisions, daily specials and now features curb-side pick-up service. Guests can dine in or may order from the menu in advance, schedule a pick-up time and then have it ready for take home after a long day of work or play.
“I’m excited about Miller Grille,” said Josh Zimmerman, an occasional golfer at Shenvalee. “The lounge has always served good food, but I only ate here when golfing. This new menu is good for my entire family and the prices are great. Another New Market restaurant other than fast food, pizza or Mexican so close to home that I can enjoy with the family is a welcome addition to the community.”
The new food and beverage manager, John McDaniel has been operating restaurants for over 20 years. “The goal is to give folks in the area a new choice for casual dining in New Market serving food that is delicious, but we also want to provide the convenience of something other than fast food for the quick dinner on the way home,” said Daniel. “This is why we now offer curb-side service.”
Miller Grille is open to the public, located off Route 11 at Shenvalee Golf Resort less than 1 mile from I-81. Local residents and area guests are invited to grab dinner on the way home using curb-side pick-up or bring the family in for an evening out. Additional changes are planned that will provide enhancements to the New Market, Va restaurant that will increase the restaurant’s popularity.
