New RF Safe Cell Phone Radiation Shielding Accessories to Include Berkeley Warning
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 18, 2016 -- In Berkeley, CA, a new ordinance now requires cell phone retailers to post or hand out fliers warning customers of possible radiation exposure from the mobile devices.
The 2015 Berkeley law, called the “right to know” ordinance, requires retailers to warn cell phone customers that wearing their device next to the body could result in exposure to radio frequency radiation exceeding federal guidelines. It was unanimously approved by the Berkeley City Council. "I am excited," said Berkeley Councilman Max Anderson said of the ordinance "It's been a long process."
As of this month, innovator of wireless radiation accessories, RF Safe, will now print the warning on its new line of shielding accessories.
The message states, “To assure safety, the federal government requires that cellphones meet radio frequency (RF) exposure guidelines. If you carry or use your phone in a pants or shirt pocket or tucked into a bra when the phone is ON and connected to a wireless network, you may exceed the federal guidelines for exposure to RF radiation. Refer to the instructions in your phone or user manual for information about how to use your phone safely.”
The clever design of RF Safe’s case combines a sturdy, impact-absorbing phone case with a unique built-in RF shielded flip cover that conveniently prevents excessive radiation exposure. The added feature of a kickstand is perfect for hands free media viewing, and there is even a place to keep a business card or credit card inside the case. The new iPhone 7 Series flip cover radiation shield is also available in RF Safe's new line of accessories.
RF Safe CEO, John Coates says that "The goal of the new warning is the continued education of wireless radiation safety awareness." RF Safe recently opened the doors to its new state-of-the-art Wireless Safety Education Center in Florida.
