New Signature acquires Microsoft cloud platform leaders CMS Consulting and Infrastructure Guardian
Washington, DC (PRWEB) June 01, 2015 -- New Signature, the 2014 Microsoft US Partner of the Year, announced today that it has acquired CMS Consulting Inc. and Infrastructure Guardian, both based in Toronto, Ontario. By adding Canadian operations with deep technology expertise in Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure solutions, New Signature continues its aggressive strategic expansion of capabilities and market coverage as North America’s premier cloud-focused Microsoft partner.
CMS Consulting is an award-winning Microsoft Gold solutions provider specializing in Microsoft Azure and next-generation IT infrastructure. Infrastructure Guardian (IG) is an ISV and Managed Services company focused on data center and cloud management. Infrastructure Guardian’s Azure Cloud Governance Portal provides companies with transparency and control over subscriptions, usage and spending associated with their Azure enterprise account.
CMS Consulting and Infrastructure Guardian will operate under the New Signature brand. The Canadian executive team will remain in place with CMS and IG founder Brian Bourne assuming the role of President of New Signature’s Canadian operations. New Signature’s executive team will continue to function as it does today with Jeff Tench as CEO, Neil Hobbs as Chairman and Christopher Hertz as Founder and President.

The acquisition comes on the heels of the investment announcement New Signature made at the end of April which detailed a $35 million funding commitment from Columbia Capital, a prominent venture capital firm based in Alexandria, VA. The investment is being used to fuel expansion of the company's capabilities and geographic coverage through organic growth and acquisition with a focus on Microsoft cloud technologies and managed services.
