New Silverado Memory Care Community Receives Unanimous Approval from Design Review Board
BELLINGHAM, WA (PRWEB) July 07, 2015 -- Silverado today issues its first update on construction of a new memory care community set to break ground as early as Summer 2015 on a four-acre site in Bellingham, Washington. Cordata Design Review Board approved design and landscape plans for the multi-million dollar project, with the support of city officials and other members of the local community.
The new complex – located at the 4400 block of Cordata Parkway – will be home to a 41,000 square-foot community designed specifically to care for up to 80 people with memory-impairing conditions. The property will also feature expansive outdoor space for the residents, as well as office space for the Alzheimer’s Society of Washington.
Development of the vacant property will positively impact the local economy with the creation of dozens of construction jobs, as many as 80 new healthcare jobs and additional city tax revenues.
“We are excited to return to Bellingham with the support of community leaders. This development supports our mission to make a positive impact on those affected by memory impairment, and furthers our vision to change the way the world cares for this population,” shares Silverado President, Chairman and CEO Loren B. Shook. “We are also very pleased that the city of Bellingham recognizes this vision and has welcomed us back into their community.”
Ongoing updates related to this project will be available at Silveradocare.com/Bellingham.
