Stockton, CA (PRWEB) January 27, 2014 -- The latest edition of the Official 2014 Visit Stockton, California Guide has been released featuring an all-new design and enhanced features.
The 96-page guide has been redesigned by the Stockton Convention & Visitors Bureau (SCVB) and boasts a new smaller, travel friendly size and refreshed content. “We are so proud of our new guide which serves are a valuable planning tool for visitors and locals alike. The rich content and vibrant photos showcase the diversity of attractions and events in Stockton” said SCVB CEO Wes Rhea, “It’s by far the best printed marketing piece we have created in decades.”
The guide features annual fairs and festivals, arts and entertainment, shopping, family attractions, sports, farm and local agriculture attractions. A new dining section features the best of Stockton restaurants utilizing lists from the locally chosen “Best of Stockton and San Joaquin” lists as well as the top 25 from the online review site Yelp. A local history section with photos has also returned to the annual publication.
For the first time the guide features My Stockton pages which include tips and recommendations from local residents representing families, couples, downtown ambassadors and the Stockton Thunder’s fan favorite Garet Hunt. “The My Stockton pages really focus on the visitor experience and what a local likes to do or recommends to do,” noted Rhea, “Visitors don’t want just lists of things, but actual itineraries and ideas. We believe this is a good start in providing those types of recommendations.” Photos taken by locals and shared though the popular app Instagram have also been included in the guide continuing the theme of the local perspective.
In addition, the 2014 guide goes beyond the boundaries of Stockton with travel information on other San Joaquin County cites as well as the great Central Valley and Yosemite and Gold Country regions. A small pullout map of Stockton and Downtown Stockton can also be found in the guide.
