New Study Supports Theory of Food Addiction, Making Appetite Suppressing Supplements Like Liproxenol More Beneficial to Weight Loss
Australia (PRWEB) July 08, 2013 -- The issue of food addiction has been debated amongst researchers for years. However, one recent study suggests that a person can become addicted to food which would make weight loss via supplements such as Liproxenol beneficial as they help control an individual’s desire to eat.
On June 26, 2013, The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition published a study conducted by researchers in regard to this issue. The subjects of the study consisted of 12 overweight men between the ages of 18 and 35. Some were fed high-glycemic milkshakes and others consumed low-glycemic milkshakes and then their brain activity was monitored for four hours to see the effects.
They found that the men that had consumed the high-glycemic milkshakes not only had blood sugar surges and crashes, but they also activated the region of their brain typically associated with rewards and cravings (which is also the same area that affects addiction). Within four hours after the meal, they were extremely hungry and driven to food whereas their low-glycemic counterparts didn’t have that intense of a reaction.
The findings of this study suggests that people who take appetite suppressants such as Liproxenol may have a better chance of control their appetite, thus curbing overeating. Liproxenol is a weight loss supplement that contains all natural ingredients such as green tea, vitamin B6, cayenne powder and dandelion root. It was created by Liproxenol Nutraceuticals to increase metabolism, decrease appetite and burn excess fat.
