New Teeth Whitening Procedure Effective On Teeth of Elderly, and Darkly Stained by Tetracycline, San Antonio Cosmetic Dentist Edward Camacho Announces
San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) August 05, 2013 -- A new teeth-whitening procedure effective on the teeth of the elderly and even teeth darkly stained by tetracycline has been introduced at Cosmetic Dentistry of San Antonio, cosmetic dentist Edward Camacho, D.D.S., has announced.
The KöR® Whitening Deep Bleaching procedure is now available at the practice, located at Huebner and Bitters in North Central San Antonio.
As teeth age, food stain debris becomes solidly packed between the rods of tooth enamel, blocking standard peroxide bleaching solutions from penetrating into the microstructure of the tooth, Dr. Camacho explains. This makes standard whitening results only partially effective and unpredictable.
"I have been disappointed with the results of other systems and it was much harder to predict the results,” Dr. Camacho said. “KöR consistently gets great results and I am very happy to offer this unique system to my patients. Whiter teeth is the number one request from patients."
Further, researchers have found that conventional whitening trays are active for only a limited time, because the anti-oxidant enzyme peroxidase in saliva and other fluids quickly destroy the peroxide, he said.
The KöR Trays seal saliva and other fluids out of the whitening trays. In combination with the proprietary whitening gels, this procedure provides more than six hours of whitening, compared to the half-hour in standard procedures, Dr. Camacho said. This extended potency allows a thorough cleansing out of debris from between enamel rods, rejuvenating the enamel, more closely resembling that of a young person.
"I personally have tried all bleaching systems and this is far superior to anything out there,” he said. “It will bleach all the way to gum line unlike any other system due to the unique bleaching trays. It will even whiten teeth that other systems cannot whiten."
The new procedure has little to no sensitivity, and is entirely safe for teeth and gums, Dr. Camacho said. "It causes less sensitivity than any other system due to the patented formulas so patients are happier."
