New United Benefit Advisors (UBA) Survey to Provide Essential Benchmarks for Employers Coping with Health Care Reform Compliance and Cost Management Decisions

Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) February 18, 2014 -- United Benefit Advisors (UBA), the nation’s leading independent employee benefits organization, today announced the opening of the 2014 UBA Benefit Opinions Survey, The survey results compile information from employers representing all major industry classifications, employee size categories and regions of the country and delineates employers’ opinions in five key areas:

  • Health Plan Strategies
  • Benefits Philosophy and Opinion
  • Health Plan Management
  • Personal Health Management
  • Employee Communications.

As we have seen in prior opinion surveys conducted by UBA, there will undoubtedly be some surprises that we will help employers to make more informed decisions regarding compliance, employee retention and cost management strategies, says CEO Thom Mangan.

The survey results will provide employers with essential benchmarks that allow them to compare their attitudes and strategies regarding employer-provided health care with those of their peers and competitors. “Employers will learn which strategies are actually being implemented (rather than just talked about) and which ones are actually working. With the dramatic increase in employer concern about meeting regulatory requirements, it is critical for employers to have access to this type of information in addition to seeking the advice of a qualified advisor,” says UBA CEO Thom Mangan.

Health plan strategies, philosophy, management and communications have become a critical focus for employers evaluating their options to comply with health care reform and remain competitive. Nearly 80% of all employers continue to be firmly committed to the value of providing health benefits to active employees and their dependents and more than 95% believe good benefits help attract and retain employees according to the previous survey results. “As we have seen in prior opinion surveys conducted by UBA, there will undoubtedly be some surprises that we will help employers to make more informed decisions regarding compliance, employee retention and cost management strategies,” Mangan said.

The survey is open from Feb. 14 through March 4. Employers who participate in the 2014 UBA Benefit Opinions Survey will receive a complimentary electronic synopsis of the final report.
