New Versatex Distribution Pacts Will Mean Easier Access to High-End PVC Architectural Trim Products for Builders from North Texas to Canada
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) January 14, 2016 -- According to Versatex sales and marketing VP Rick Kapres, dealers, lumber yards and home improvement centers now will be able to order his company’s cellular-PVC trim and moldings through the Dallas division of Snavely Forest Products, and the CanWel Building Products Group, Ltd., of Canada.
Snavely’s Dallas division will distribute the full Versatex product line to all major Texas markets, Mr. Kapres said. “This marks our first venture into Texas, and we’re happy to be sharing it with a trusted partner like Snavely, who we have worked with successfully in other markets for years.”
He added that Versatex recruiters are seeking a Central Texas sales representative to support the endeavor.
With corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, Snavely has supplied such products as decking, railings, cladding, doors, engineered-wood products, boards, lumber and panels since 1902. Snavely locations in Baltimore, Denver, Pittsburgh, Greensboro, N.C., and Westminster, Md., have distributed Versatex products for several years.
CanWel Building Materials Group, headquartered in Vancouver, B.C., is one of Canada’s largest distributors of building materials and renovation products for the residential and industrial markets. Its 16-distribution centers stretch from British Columbia to Newfoundland.
Under the new agreement, CanWel will offer the complete Versatex product line at 12 locations immediately. The distribution partners will consider extending Versatex product availability to four CanWel sites in British Columbia and Quebec at a later date.
“Versatex is known for outstanding quality and innovation,” said CanWel’s national product manager, Darryl Pollack. “After working with multiple PVC trim and sheet manufacturers for several years, we found that Versatex is the leader, and the partner we’ve been looking for.
“With their single focus on the category, Versatex can maximize our potential and bring the most value to our customers. We’re excited about joining such a strong distribution partner in serving nearly the entire country. We’re thrilled to enter into this exclusive relationship.”
Mr. Kapres said that Versatex plans to hire two new sales representatives, one in Canada’s Maritime Region and one in the Prairie Region, to support the effort.
