New Video Release Gives an Inside Look at Serenity Recovery Detox Clinic
Marne, Michigan (PRWEB) June 07, 2016 -- Those who may be looking at the possibility of needing the help of a professional substance abuse rehabilitation clinic for themselves or someone that they care about can find some helpful guidance in a new video released by Serenity Recovery, a holistic treatment center for addiction located in Central Michigan. The video, a brief overview of the rehabilitation facility’s Medically Supervised Detox Clinic aimed towards those whose fear of the withdrawal process might be keeping them from seeking treatment for addiction, can be viewed on the Serenity Recovery YouTube channel.
“Many of our patients have tried to quit using drugs or alcohol on their own, but found that withdrawal was too much to bear,” says Serenity Recovery founder Per Wickstrom. “Our Detox Unit is staffed with registered nurses and certified withdrawal specialists who take great care in making the withdrawal and detox process as painless as possible. While the effects of withdrawal from long-term substance abuse can never be fully removed, there are methods that can help ease the discomfort of even the most severe physical dependencies. If fear of the pain and sickness of withdrawal is keeping a person from making the decision to seek treatment for addiction, it is our hope that this video can show them that withdrawal can be handled in a caring and compassionate manner.”

The video features clips from an interview with Christie, the Administrator of the Detox Clinic at Serenity Recovery, as well as footage from the Clinic itself and the patients going through the detox process. Christie describes her duties at the treatment center and the role that she plays in the lives of the patients at Serenity. “I support our Withdrawal Specialists, whose job it is to keep our patients feeling good, feeling calm, and staying focused on why they are here,” she explains. “On a daily basis, I see pretty much everyone who is in the detox unit. Sometimes it’s just in the hall saying ‘hi’ or checking in with them. Other times, it could be that they are really struggling and need some one- on-one conversation. My door remains open.”
The substance abuse treatment program at Serenity Recovery is designed to facilitate a thorough and successful recovery from addiction. Rather than a method of just getting clean and sober, their rehabilitation strategy is focused on making a total lifestyle transformation that will allow their patients to remain clean and sober after they graduate the program and transition back into daily life. From the Medically Supervised Detox Clinic through their extensive Aftercare Program, which offers assistance in everything from making sober living arrangements, job placement, and finding recovery support groups in the patient’s local area to simply making a phone call to check in on the patient’s progress, Serenity Recovery does all that they can to fulfill the commitment that they make to each and every patient who comes to their doors seeking help in overcoming addiction.
