New Worldwide Greeks Website Launches for the First Time Since 2005

The old Worldwide Greeks® website, which launched in 2005, was primarily a social networking site for English-speaking Greeks around the world, but since Worldwide Greeks® initially launched, Facebook has become the primary social network for most of Worldwide Greek's® users, eliminating the need for a proprietary social network. The new website is focusing primarily on content generation.
Owners Tanya and Nick Stamoulis, two Boston-based Greek Americans, are focused on making Worldwide Greeks® an even bigger destination site for Greeks around the world to connect and embrace their Hellenic heritage, as well as give non-Greeks interested in learning about Greek music, food and recipes, travel, history, mythology, religion, and more an “insider’s look” at what it means to be Greek!
Worldwide Greeks® is now going to focus on generating content about religion, mythology, travel and more for Greeks around the world, helping them stay connected to their Hellenic culture and heritage no matter where they live. The new site also features an Greek e-commerce store where fans can purchase Greek products. The site is also producing a bi-weekly newsletter so Worldwide Greek fans can get the latest in Grecian news and events.
"There are Greeks all over the world. But just because we live in the US or UK or Australia that doesn't mean we have given up on our Greek culture and past. My goal is for Worldwide Greeks to become the destination site for English-speaking Greeks all over the world and keep us connected as a people and as a culture," says Nick Stamoulis. The new website also puts out a Weekly Music Top 40 list that can be listened to directly from the desktop as well as from mobile phones thanks to the free Greek Music app available on Android and for the iPhone. This Top 40 list features the latest hits from Greece and Greek musicians worldwide.
