New York Bankruptcy Attorney To Speak At City Bar Public Bankruptcy Workshop
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- David B. Shaev, a partner with the New York bankruptcy law firm Shaev & Fleischman LLP, will speak on a panel at the upcoming public workshop titled “Consumer Bankruptcy: Is It Right For You?” on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. ET hosted by New York City Bar in collaboration with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York.
Shaev will join other panelists to discuss the following issues that impact New Yorkers who are considering filing for bankruptcy:
- Types of Bankruptcies available;
- Requirements and costs for filing bankruptcy;
- Advantages and Disadvantages to filing bankruptcy;
- Alternatives to filing bankruptcy;
- Information about the long-term effects of a bankruptcy discharge.
Shaev is a bankruptcy lawyer in New York and partner with Shaev & Fleischman, LLP with over thirty years of experience in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 consumer bankruptcy matters. He has extensive experience in litigating complex mortgage-related matters in bankruptcy case. As a Partner of the firm, Shaev helps clients solve their bills problems effectively and efficiently.

He is a longtime member and current New York State co-chair of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, as well as a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates. He is also active in legislative matters on a national basis, working on behalf of consumer credit causes.
