According to reports, the employee was removing a Lincoln Navigator from the lot of the car wash when it was stuck by a Nissan Altima on Atlantic Avenue. The man was ejected from the vehicle and apparently was struck by it, said police. Authorities did not release any names, but described the deceased as a Hispanic male in his 30’s.
According to the article, the owner of the Navigator told reporters that he heard a loud bang and then witnessed the accident unfold. He saw the deceased lying in the street while his SUV continued down Atlantic Avenue by itself until it crashed into a fire hydrant. The driver of the Nissan and a passenger were taken to the hospital with reports of pain, but not with any serious reported injuries. Authorities are still investigating what exactly caused the deadly accident.
