NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Recognized for Reducing its Environmental Footprint
NEW YORK, NEW YORK (PRWEB) January 23, 2015 -- NewYork-Presbyterian is one of a select few hospitals in the country to be honored by The American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) for reducing its energy consumption. The hospital received the Energy to Care Award for cutting energy consumption by 10 percent or greater over the course of three years at four of its campuses:
- NewYork-Presbyterian/The Allen Hospital achieved a 10 percent reduction.
- NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center achieved a 15 percent reduction.
- NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center achieved a 10 percent reduction.
- NewYork-Presbyterian/Westchester Division achieved a 15 percent reduction.

The Energy to Care Award is administered through ASHE’s Energy to Care program, which encourages healthcare providers to significantly reduce their environmental footprint.
