Next Evolution of ‘Saga’ Games - Introducing BeFooled
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) March 27, 2014 -- Games, like people, evolve over time. Like people, games are made of smaller traits that evolve each generation. ‘Befooled : The alien weed invasion’ attempts to change and add traits to familiar games like ‘Candy crush saga’, ‘Farm Heros saga’, and ‘Pet rescue saga’.
For starters, Befooled sets up a path of levels where each level can be any of the unique 26 missions. As the player completes each level, the missions progressively get harder. In each mission the core element of game play is asking the user to remove weeds in groups. For example, harder levels will only count removal of weeds of certain color towards a goal. Certain levels unlock cut scenes of full screen graphics that illustrate a farmer investigating an alien weed invasion on his farm.
Befooled first breaks from traditions by introducing unlockable, optional bonus paths. If the player unlocks a bonus path, and then completes it, BeFooled rewards the player with permanent items or lives.
Another unique twist BeFooled creator introduces a turn based multiplayer mode much like ‘Words with friends’ and ‘Scramble with friends’. The vs game is a highly competitive match between players where the goal is simply to outlast your opponent. This mode is only unlocked after progressing 10 levels in the single player mode.
Befooled takes a friendlier approach than the 'Saga' games by rewarding in-game currency even if the player fails. The in-game currency of “tokens” can be used to purchase any of the 8 different tools. The tools can be used to remove rows or columns or change the color of the evil weeds to form groups that can be removed by the player. The tools are primarily used to help the player get out of jams when no moves are left or forming large groups to satisfy a mission target.
Befooled removes reshuffling the board when no moves are left for the player to make. When no moves are available to the user, the game will allow items to be used as “moves”, however if the player does not have items the game will end.
“As a developer and a gamer I tried to add the wishes of the gamers into a challenge puzzle series, with my own story, and my own twists,” says creator Tom Jackson.
Ultimately Befooled delivers a smooth gaming experience that should provide hours of play. Unlike the ‘Saga’ series, BeFooled does not block players to force them onto social networks or for money. However, BeFooled does implement the “lives” system.
