Next Generation Sequencing Conference & Workshop Highlights New Applications, Bioinformatics and Bottlenecks
Manchester, UK (PRWEB UK) 16 July 2013 -- The idea of this conference and workshop is to create an international NGS user network that focuses on advances in diagnostic testing of patient samples, whilst at the same time keeping abreast of other novel NGS application areas that could potentially be used in the future to provide personalized healthcare options for patients.
By focusing on the key NGS applications and bottlenecks, the idea is to gather high profile speakers and an audience that spans NGS genetic testing as well as other research areas such as micro RNA’s, exome & genomic sequencing, expression analysis etc.
Taking this theme into the reality of the next event in Manchester, bioteXcel has invited international keynote speakers who are opinion leaders in genetic testing and the implementation of NGS in such laboratories. Speakers include the likes of Prof. Tim Aitman, Dr. Anneke Seller, Prof. David Barton, Prof. Conrad Lichtenstein, Prof. Klaus Brusgaard, Dr. Mick Watson, Dr. Jose Ivorra Martinez and many other well known names. Please take a look at the agenda on the link below to view the full line up.
Next Generation Sequencing workshops will be a key part of this conference and the most popular NGS subject areas continue to be Sample Preparation, Bioinformatics and Data Storage. The workshops presented at the NGS 2013 Manchester conference will be modular units that train users from a high level overview down to a detailed know-how level in each of the subject areas.
The NGS 2013 Manchester conference will allow attendees to network, discuss common issues, exchange ideas and initiate collaborations. The idea of collaborations and partnering was facilitated by bioteXcel in its previous conference and that resulted in a number of international initiatives.
