Nexum® Partner Blackstone Awarded Department of Homeland Security EAGLE II Contract
Arlington, VA (PRWEB) January 24, 2014 -- Nexum, Inc., a leader in networking and cybersecurity solutions, is pleased to announce that its prime partner, Blackstone Technology Group, is one of eleven contractors that have been awarded a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE) II contract in Functional Category 2 – Unrestricted Track, Information Technology Program Support Services. EAGLE II is a contract to provide the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) a wide range of information technology solutions and support services, particularly cybersecurity.
The DHS EAGLE II contract vehicle provides a $22B ceiling to procure IT services over the seven year period of performance. The services areas in Functional Category 2 span IT policy and planning, capital planning, strategic planning, workforce planning, budget execution, performance management, enterprise architecture, data management, information sharing, information security, training, enterprise resource management, business process re-engineering, IT transformation and strategy, organizational change management, and program management office support. Overall, DHS plays a key role in security the federal government's civilian cyber networks and helping to secure the broader cyber ecosystem.
