Nexus Health Systems Implements EHR with Infinity HIT to prepare for Meaningful Use
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) January 15, 2015 -- Nexus Health Systems, with the guidance and support of Infinity HIT, successfully converted from paper based systems to the MEDITECH EHR in preparation for attestation to the Meaningful Use electronic health record (EHR) incentive program.
“We are excited to now be on an electronic platform. The project, as well as the planning leading up to the project itself, motivated us to evaluate all processes across each of our facilities. This effort also nicely complimented our successful implementation of the ISO 9001 standards as a part of our DNV accreditation,” said Erin Cassidy, President for Nexus Health Systems.” We are confident this transition will allow for improved patient outcomes and for staff to efficiently document such that they are able to spend greater time at the bedside caring for our patients and residents.”
“We are pleased to have been selected as Nexus’ consulting and implementation partner for a critically strategic initiative. The challenges of converting facilities across multiple states from paper to the MEDITECH EHR were overcome by strong collaboration between the Infinity and Nexus staff” said Dr. Kevin McConnell, Executive Vice President for Infinity HIT.
Founder and CEO, John W. Cassidy, M.D. further added “of the Assisted Living Programs we have surveyed, we believe that we have the first, fully integrated EHR system in the country, at our cutting edge residential brain injury program, Touchstone Neurorecovery Center. Furthermore, we chose the right business partner in Infinity HIT to assist us with achieving this accomplishment.”
