nexVortex and ADTRAN Team-up to Raise the Bar on Voice Quality
HERNDON, VA (PRWEB) September 12, 2016 -- As a leader in Cloud Communications and an industry expert in SIP Trunking, nexVortex has teamed up with ADTRAN, Inc. to answer the needs of medium and large enterprises which have historically been wary of using SIP Trunking over the public internet as a replacement for Primary Rate Interfaces (PRI) due to the inability to control voice quality over that network.
The solution is Managed SIP (mSIP) which utilizes ADTRAN equipment on the customer premise connected to nexVortex’s nationwide (geo-redundant) private IP/MPLS backbone to guarantee quality of service (QoS) for voice calls (VoIP) to and from the public switched telephone network.
What makes mSIP unique is that nexVortex has wrapped the solution around a set of voice-quality measurement, monitoring and reporting tools to measure QoS at each segment of the call path. ADTRAN’s powerful customer premise equipment serves as a demarcation point where voice calls are marked and measured for QoS before being handed off to the network for routing. Call quality can be measured and network issues can be pinpointed for definitive trouble shooting.
nexVortex’s mSIP addresses the concerns that companies have had in migrating their large PBX installations (multiple PRIs) to a cloud-based communication service. mSIP opens a path forward for them to take advantage of the economics and scalability of SIP Trunking at a time when carriers are raising prices on PRI’s or refusing to renew PRI contracts as they forcibly retire legacy circuit switched technology from the network in favor of IP.
“SIP Trunking is our business. We have been delivering SIP Trunking as a commercial service for over 10 years and understand that different businesses have different needs,” said Wes Rogers, founder and COO of nexVortex. “While SIP Trunking over the public internet is perfectly fine for many companies, others want a SIP solution with specific guarantees. With that in mind, we made significant investment in our network infrastructure, tools and software to deliver an mSIP Trunking Service so that business owners can confidently replace aging, expensive and soon to be retired PRIs.”
Case in point, “The City of D’Iberville Mississippi required a solution which provided guaranteed voice quality,” said Brian Alford, representing the mSIP project for the city of D’Iberville. “We found that, and much more with the nexVortex mSIP solution. The offering is solid, the team is very easy to work with, and extremely knowledgeable. It has been a great experience.”
“ADTRAN is excited to have teamed with nexVortex in architecting and delivering mSIP, a service that addresses the evolving communication needs of its customers,” said Christie Holder, product manager for ADTRAN’s cloud connectivity solutions. “Our collaboration with nexVortex represents another key opportunity to continue our focus on delivering unique value to our managed service provider partners.”
As older circuit switched infrastructure and equipment are retired at an accelerated rate, solutions like those delivered by nexVortex will continue to grow as Cloud Communication Services becomes the new standard.
