Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) January 06, 2014 -- The opening round of the NFL playoffs is in the books and four teams have advanced to the Divisional Round. The Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints, San Diego Chargers and San Francisco 49ers all escaped Wild Card Weekend with victories and will continue their postseason journey this weekend.
Now, PrintableBrackets.net is offering fans an updated NFL playoff bracket complete with the Divisional Round matchups.
“Unless you’re a fan of one of the four ousted teams, Wild Card Weekend did not disappoint,” said PrintableBrackets.net spokesperson Zaniel Worth. “Between the Colts’ wild rally, the back-and-forth affair in Philadelphia, the upset in Cincinnati and the slugfest in Green Bay, there was something for every type of NFL fan to enjoy.”
The Colts erased a 28-point deficit in the second half and held on for a 45-44 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Shayne Graham booted a 32-yard field goal as time expired to give the Saints a 26-24 win over the Eagles. The Chargers forced four turnovers in a 27-10 upset win over the Bengals, while Phil Dawson’s 33-yard field goal lifted the 49ers to a 23-20 victory over the Green Bay Packers.
The NFL playoffs roll on with the Divisional Round beginning on Saturday. First, the Saints will be in Seattle to square off with the top-seeded Seahawks. Also Saturday, the Colts will clash with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
On Sunday, the 49ers will be on the road again to collide with Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. The Divisional Round will wrap up when the Chargers face Peyton Manning and the Broncos in Denver.
This week’s winners will advance to the respective conference championship games, which will take place on Sunday, January 19th.
