NEW YORK, May 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- NFP, a leading insurance broker and consultant that provides employee benefits, property and casualty, retirement, and individual solutions, today announced that John Hyland, senior vice president of NFP Property and Casualty, is assuming leadership of its Surety division.
In this new role, Hyland will work to accelerate growth in NFP's surety bond service offerings by working closely with the company's national team of over thirty surety professionals to grow specialty lines and key relationships in the construction space. Hyland will report to Henry C. Lombardi, executive vice president and head of NFP's Property and Casualty division.
Hyland brings more than three decades of experience in the surety industry, where he has served as an underwriter, an underwriting officer, and a surety broker. He is well versed in the placement of large construction surety bond programs, including co-surety, shared account, captive, and private equity structures.
"John's contributions since he joined NFP in 2018 and his recognized track record in the industry make him a natural fit for this position," said Lombardi. "With John's relationships, a strong team behind him, and his dedication to delivering superior value to clients, he will have a positive and significant impact on our surety business."
Prior to NFP, Hyland was a principal of The Hyde Agency, a New York-based surety and insurance specialist serving the construction industry. Previous to The Hyde Agency, Hyland was President of Allied North America of New Jersey, Inc., with responsibility for insurance and surety placements in New Jersey and oversight for all surety in the greater New York region.
