Nielsen-Kellerman, Rowing and Paddling Manufacturer, Designs Custom Wiring and Portable Audio Systems to Outfit German Boat Builder BuK’s 10-Man Dragon Boat
Boothwyn, PA (PRWEB) May 30, 2014 -- With more than 30 years experience in designing and manufacturing sports performance electronics for rowing and paddling, NK has now expanded its portable, waterproof audio systems and custom wiring options to outfit German manufacturer BuK’s dragon boats. NK’s newly designed, custom-fitted speakers were created exclusively for BuK’s recently launched 10-man dragon boat, a smaller version of the 20-man racing dragon boat.
Since 1992, BuK has constructed high-quality dragon boats that combine the traditional features of the 2000-year-old sport with modern design functionalities. BuK’s boats are currently distributed throughout Europe, America, Australia and Asia.
Working directly with BuK with the assistance of NK’s exclusive German agent Dreher Deutschland, NK’s engineering staff designed, prototyped and tested a fully concealed wiring system with integrated speakers for the new line of dragon boats. Taking into consideration both companies’ reputations for quality and superior customer service, NK made sure the audio systems met all of BuK’s dragon boat specifications.
Christian Zangenberg, Managing Director of Dreher Deutschland, stated, “ We are very excited that every BuK boat build as of April 1st is pre-wired with NK speakers. This will allow customers to simply plug in their Cox Box® Mini amplifier and be ready to race. The official launch of the BuK 10-man boat will take place at the German Dragon Boat Championships June 20th through 22nd in Schwerin, Germany. Both BuK and Dreher will be present and have demo units available for everyone to try out.”
NK has been involved in the dragon boating for almost 10 years, having attended the Dragon Boat World Championship for the past 8 years. NK’s Director of Sales, Katie Godfrey, is also a world champion drummer for the US Dragon Boat Team.
