Nike Sports Camps and ELS Language Centers Launch West Coast Adventure Camp in Northern California
San Rafael, CA (PRWEB) December 18, 2013 -- Blending the best of ELS Language Center's youth language curriculum with an exciting Nike multi-sport camp format, the West Coast Adventure Camp, is designed for international students, 9-15 who are looking for a completely new approach to combining sports, language and excursions at a top California prep school.
“It’s perfect for the camper who loves sports, but has not necessarily specialized in one sport yet,” says Colleen Bertiglia, Director of International Programs. Furthermore, “Our new multi-sport camp format is designed so young athletes have the opportunity to develop their skills, in a fun cross-training environment; giving them an alternative to our more intensive (one-sport) training camps."
“Similarly, ELS was looking to offer a combination of practical conversational and sports-related English skills while learning the USA sporting system," says Leanne Benoist, ELS Director Special Programs. She adds, “Campers will have the opportunity to “play hard” in the sport of their choice, while learning about tactics, strategies, as well as experiencing the greater cultural opportunities in the California area.”
The program will be offered at The San Domenico School, an independent coed boarding school located in the foothills of Marin County. The two-week camp program called the West Coast Adventure Camp will only offer one session - July 20th through August 2nd. The camp is designed for international students interested in a Nike-caliber-sports-training-program, combined with general English training at a top California school location. Planned trips to San Francisco, the beach, a tour of Napa Valley and amusement parks are included. All participants will also receive a free pair of NIKE cross-training shoes.
