The Keynote Presentation will be provided by Amritha Kidiyoor, MS, PhD, Researcher, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Institute for Regenerative Medicine, Winston Salem, NC. Dr. Kidiyoor currently serves as a researcher under Anthony Atala, MD, Director at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center's Institute for Regenerative Medicine. Her specific interests are associated with reprogramming fibrotic lung tissue to functional epithelial lung tissue.
Dr. Kidiyoor works with more than 300 scientists in the fields of biomedical and chemical engineering, cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, physiology, materials science, nanotechnology, genomics, proteomics, surgery and medicine to translate the science of regenerative medicine into clinical therapies, that will benefit patients with chronic lung disease.
