Nine Strangers Come Together to Form Unbreakable Bonds in ‘Circumstantial Connections’
POQUOSON, Va. (PRWEB) December 13, 2016 -- Patricia Apelt’s debut novel, “Circumstantial Connections” (published by Archway Publishing), follows nine strangers brought together by a series of bizarre situations who soon forge unbreakable bonds.
The novel opens with Samantha Matthews, who has just abruptly resigned from a well-paying job. Now with her life turned upside down, she heads out of town during a rainstorm for a getaway that she hopes will clear her head.
When a series of unexpected events leads her to the home of Edith Bradley, she finds the elderly grandmother in the kitchen pinned by a large tree that has fallen through her roof. But as she is about to discover, fate has led her to rescue Edith from much more than just a fallen tree.
Discontented with the “same basic themes” found in other novels, Apelt wrote the book to encourage positivity: “We all need a little more love and generous, giving people in our lives,” she says. “In the world today, there is a need to know that not everyone hates everyone else.”
Samantha, Edith and the rest of the group treat one another with respect and kindness. Through it all, they come to realize that life will always lead them in the right direction.
