Ninth Annual Springbrook Gala Reaches New Heights
Oneonta, NY (PRWEB) April 22, 2014 -- On Saturday, April 5th, over 350 Springbrook supporters donned their finest evening wear and came out for a celebratory night of cocktails, dancing, gaming, and elegant dining. The event was the organization’s most successful yet, grossing over $120,000 in support of Springbrook’s Annual Fund. The Springbrook Annual Fund is a vital source of revenue for the organization. Examples of how the Annual Fund has allowed Springbrook to enhance the lives of program participants include innovative music and art therapy programs, adaptive physical education equipment, scholarships for Therapeutic Horseback Riding, and support for the Scorpions Special Olympics soccer and basketball teams.
This year’s gala also marked the success of the first ever Benefit Wine Pull. The event-within-an-event generated over $1,200 and was so popular that it was sold out before dinner was served. In addition to the Wine Pull, guests enjoyed the outstanding performance of the New York Players’ Body and Soul and most importantly celebrated the pride and passion shared among the Springbrook community.
"Seeing Springbrook friends, families, and the individuals we support come together in celebration of our shared accomplishments is inspiring. I am so proud of our continued success and passionate about our future," shared Springbrook CEO, Patricia Kennedy. "I can't wait to share this event with even more people next year. The best is yet to come!" The 10th Annual Springbrook Gala will be held next year on April 18, 2015.
Springbrook would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of its generous and loyal top sponsors, including: Citizens Bank, N.A. at the Platinum Level, LeChase Construction at the Gold Level, Bryans & Gramuglia CPA’s, LLC., and Relph Benefits at the Silver Level, Vibrant Creative at the Bronze Sponsorship Level, and Maines Paper & Food Service, Brewery Ommegang, and Chianis Anderson Architects as Supporting Sponsors. Springbrook recognizes not only the aforementioned sponsors, but also the hundreds of other individuals and businesses that contributed. Their loyal support is the reason that the organization is able to continue as the leader in supports for individuals with developmental disabilities.
