Nipomo Family Dentistry Opens New Dental Office in Nipomo
Nipomo, CA (PRWEB) November 28, 2014 -- Nipomo Family Dentistry, founded by Dr. Douglas Ng and Dr. Christina Do, recently opened its doors at 195 N. Thompson St., Suite 3, in Nipomo, CA.
Along with preventative care like teeth cleanings, oral exams, fillings, implants and crowns, Nipomo Family Dentistry offers laser dentistry, Invisalign, teeth whitening (and Kor whitening), laser whitening, gum tissue treatment, veneers and pediatric dentistry.
In addition, Nipomo Family Dentistry’s five-person team also takes a philanthropic approach to patients worldwide.
“We are a family-oriented dental office whose vision is treating patients with the same care and attention with which we’d treat our family,” said Dr. Do, who founded the practice. “We also make it our goal to give back through local nonprofits and mission opportunities internationally.”
Both Dr. Ng and Dr. Do are originally from Southern California, but decided that, because of the people, the Central Coast was a great place to do business.
“By working at other practices, I learned that if you take care of people, they'll take care of you,” said Dr. Ng.
Dr.Ng and Dr. Do say that their comfortable environment and focus on preventative care makes their practice exceptional. “Though we love our patients, our goal is to see them less often because they’re healthy,” said Dr. Do. “We focus on finding problems early and dealing with them immediately so they don’t turn into larger problems.”
Philanthropy works
Their service extends beyond the office as well. To serve not only the community’s dental needs, but also its philanthropic needs, Dr. Ng and Dr. Do are involved with the Assistance League of SLO, Prado Day Center, Easter Seals, The Boys and Girls Clubs, Kiwanis, The Lions Club, Michael Chang Tennis Club, and various Boy and Girl Scout troops.
Beyond local community, both doctors travel to international communities that lack access to proper care. Between the two of them, Dr. Ng and Dr. Do have completed trips to Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Guatemala, Honduras, Papua New Guinea, Haiti, Chad, the Philippines, Belize, Honduras, Guam, and Peru. Earlier in 2014, they traveled to El Salvador.
Though days are packed for both Dr. Ng and Dr. Do, they say the people they get to see on a regular basis and provide care to make every busy day worth it. According to Dr. Do, it’s rewarding to be able to ease patients’ pain, cure dental infections or perfect their smile, all in the midst of a comfortable environment.
“Most of my patients have become friends,” said Dr. Ng. “It's wonderful watching families and children grow, and helping people take good care of their mouths as they transition into different parts of their lives or find new function and confidence in their smile.”
