Nitro Mobile Solutions Welcomes Cathy Pettis as Vice President, Financial Services

Pettis brings more than 40 years of experience, leadership and knowledge in the financial services industry and as a member of the executive management team, she will help further accelerate Nitro’s growth in the financial services sector. Most recently, Pettis was senior vice president at League and Service Corporation.

Pettis has extensive knowledge of financial innovation and its applicability to banking. She joins Nitro after 17 years at LSC, where she served as SVP of Operations, Product Development and Innovations. Pettis has also spearheaded many of LSC’s strategic and technology initiatives, including the recent decision to provide mobile pre-paid debit card services to LSC’s 3,000 credit union customers.

While at LSC, Pettis led technology and operation teams in process improvement and efficiency, vendor selection and management, compliance audits, and fraud mitigation programs. She also employed item processing image capture, data warehousing services, ATM switch services, PCI compliance and certification, card operations and compliance. LSC achieved a customer satisfaction rating of 98.9% in 2013.
In addition to her tenure at LSC, Pettis served as a credit union representative on the CUNA’s Payments Committee, NBPCA’s Prepaid Card Association, EMV card association groups, FRB’s Payments and Routing Number Rules Committee, CSCU’s Advisory Committee, and numerous partner advisory groups.
Pettis has previously served as a CUSO liaison to the NCUA and Card Association (Visa and MasterCard) Fraud, and Risk and Security auditors. She also established an Indirect Lending Program and ezLaunch credit card receivables program. Furthermore, she expanded LSC’s footprint of offering credit and debit cards from Illinois into 42 partner states as LSC remained the top service organization in revenues and customer satisfaction.
Pettis is often called upon as an industry expert in payments, EMV, and fraud mitigation. She has testified before the Illinois Financial Services Committee and the Attorney General on behalf of ICUL, and before the Payments Coalition on EFT, PrePaid Card Fees and Disclosures, AFD legislation, and PIN Security. Additionally, Pettis was an active member on CUNA’s Payments Committee.
