NiUG Hosts Eighth Discovery Conference in Baltimore
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) October 22, 2013 -- NiUG, the largest independent, international users group in the not-for-profit software industry, today announced that it attained record attendance at the eighth annual Discovery Conference held October 7 - 9 in Baltimore, MD. More than 380 iMIS users, solution providers, consultants and vendors participated in 46 educational sessions, training classes and networking events. The 16th annual iMIS User Group event also attracted 24 sponsors — including Advanced Solutions International (ASI) and WBT Systems as platinum sponsors — and featured 34 companies in the interactive exhibitor showcase.
The iMIS Community’s must-attend, three-day event began on Monday, October 7 for 200 users who participated in pre-conference training. The full conference began on Tuesday and was filled with informative, engaging sessions designed to show iMIS users how to boost engagement, enhance security, simplify web management, automate business processes, expand social marketing, and launch mobile websites.
The new capabilities of the iMIS 20 Engagement Management System (EMS)™ created a real buzz among conference attendees. iMIS 20 includes constituent management, self-service, fundraising, social engagement, private communities, web management and mobile access in one seamless cloud-based system. With iMIS 20, organizations can engage constituents and staff anytime, anywhere, from any device.
“This marked an important year for the iMIS Community with the introduction of iMIS 20,” said NiUG Executive Director, Michele Morgan. “Our staff and the Program Committee did an amazing job of putting together a comprehensive conference agenda that showcased the new iMIS 20 features while still providing the vital educational programming iMIS users all types and sizes urgently need. The quality of the programs showed in our attendance numbers and on session evaluations.”
“The NiUG Discovery Conference is an essential event for the iMIS Community -- it’s where users go for the extensive training they require. For ASI, it’s an opportunity to announce new features, share best practices, and reveal our roadmap for the future,” said Bob Alves, ASI Chairman and CEO. “Most importantly, it’s where we go to listen to what our clients have to say about the challenges they’re overcoming and the results they’re achieving. The success stories we’ve heard this year have been inspiring and we’re very proud to have helped our clients improve their organizational performance so they’re better able to accomplish these great things!”
