NJIT Continuing Professional Education Now Offering On-Site Cloud Technologies Training to MTA Employees
Newark, New Jersey (PRWEB) November 19, 2013 -- New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) recently begun an on-site training contract with MTA to offer 96-hour non-credit CloudMASTER™ Certificate Program. The MTA joins the large numbers of businesses and government agencies that are migrating to the “cloud” and is one example of the kinds of professional development which CPE offers both on-ground—be it at companies or the university—and online.
“Many organizations and professionals are seeking solutions to build cloud competencies to manage and utilize new technologies,” said Gale Tenen Spak, PhD, associate vice president of Continuing and Distance Education at NJIT. “This growth translates to a need for cloud experts who can help organizations use technology to enable and drive business in the 21st century.”
The CloudMASTER™ Certificate Program provides a strong foundation in cloud technologies, overall cloud architecture and management of cloud infrastructure, as well as a solid technical background in modern web services deployment and administration. Students will learn concepts, principles, techniques, and practices needed to administer and secure a modern cloud-enabled business environment. The program is comprised of three 32-hour training modules—Cloud Technologies, Cloud Architecture and Design, and Cloud Operations Management—each of which can be completed as a stand-alone course. Upon successful completion of each module, NJIT awards Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and an NJIT and National Cloud Technologists Association (NCTA) certificate. After satisfactory completion of all three modules, students will take the final online examination for CloudMASTER™ Certification.
NJIT is a founding Authorized Training Partner (ATP) of NCTA and serves on the NCTA Academic Advisory Council (AAC).
