NMEDA Inducts Gene Morton, Stan Nystrom, Bill Siebert, Jeff Ruff and DaIe Carpenter Into the Hall of Fame
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) February 27, 2017 -- The National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) announced the 2017 Hall of Fame Class inductees at its national conference held in Daytona Beach, Florida. Gene Morton, Stan Nystrom, Bill Siebert, Jeff Ruff and Dale Carpenter were each recognized as successful innovators and businessmen in the industry and selected for their selfless commitment to serving people with disabilities.
Proudly serving as president and northern representative in 2004 and 2005, Gene Morton has been a NMEDA member since 1989. Morton has served on more than ten committees, including the Quality Assurance Program (QAP) and the Compliance Review Program. He works hard for NMEDA, serving on the Interagency Committee to continue developing effective policies for modifications within each state.
Stan Nystrom is a mobility dealer, manufacturer and innovator. Nystrom designed and manufactured the Liberty van full-size conversion which included a number of new innovations including removable seats, oversized front floor cut for more legroom and a universal design to accept all manufactured lifts. Nystrom owns and operates a successful mobility dealership in Arizona and is the president of Accessible Vans of America (AVA); a company dedicated to providing rental vans with handicap accessible features.
Having served as midwestern representative, vice president and president on the board of directors for more than 13 years, Bill Siebert has been a long-standing contributor to NMEDA. Over his years of service he has restructured QAP, required all dealer members to be QAP accredited and updated bylaws to reflect the change. Seibert continues to be an active member of numerous committees including the House Committee of Veteran Affairs, QAP and Ad Hoc QAP.
As president of the Braun Corporation, Jeff Ruff was one of the first manufacturing pioneers in the mobility industry. Ruff lead efforts to build an integrated network of dealers and provided his unwavering support for undercapitalized mobility dealers. Ruff sat on NMEDA’s board as manufacturer rep for three years.
A strong consumer and mobility dealer advocate, Dale Carpenter has aided NMEDA with his more than 40 years of industry knowledge. He has made contributions in the innovative and technical industries through his work with Target, Savaria and Ricon and is more than deserving of this recognition after having served on the Hall of Fame committee in the past.
