Portsmouth, Hampshire (PRWEB UK) 27 March 2014 -- Property clerks everywhere are celebrating the end of messy notes and scrawling handwriting all over their completed inventory reports thanks to InventoryBase. The property inventory software has added a tenant commenting function which allows tenants to add their own notes and observations to a report in an easily readable way.
InventoryBase was designed to make property inventories simple. The software has constantly evolved based on user feedback and the latest addition is a direct result of clerk requests.
Property Clerk Valerie Rose said “ When I started using InventoryBase I was thrilled at how simple it was to use and how clear my check-in reports were at the start of the tenancy. The first time I gave the completed report to a tenant to agree and sign I was horrified with the amount of scribbled notes all over the pages.”
“Although my report was accurate this particular tenant was very keen to highlight a lot of what I’d written by scrawling their own comments alongside mine.”
Creator of InventoryBase, Steve Rad said “We’re often contacted by clerks who are so pleased with how clear, concise and professional their reports are when they’ve completed them with InventoryBase – so it’s understandable they want them to remain that way especially if they are needed in a dispute at check-out.”
“We developed tenant commenting as a way to ensure the tenants voice can be heard and that the way they contribute to the report actually helps to make the report clearer if viewed by a third party in a dispute.”
By allowing the tenants to add to the report online the system will also reduce the need to print reports for tenants, cutting down on expense for clerks and will have a positive effect on the environment by reducing waste.
