Studies such as the July 2014 report by the U.S. Dept of Health and Human Services indicate that the number of American homes with only wireless telephones continues to grow, and that consumer behavior for how and when they answer a call is likely to be different for cell phones versus landlines, with contact rates for mobile phones reaching levels as high as twice the rate for landlines.
