Noblis Awarded GSA Contract for Support to the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP)
Falls Church, VA (PRWEB) March 17, 2015 -- Noblis, Inc., a leading provider of science, technology, and strategy services to the federal government, is pleased to announce a recent award from the General Services Administration (GSA) to provide program management and technical advisory services to the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP). FedRAMP’s mission is to increase the security of cloud offerings in the federal government while reducing costs by eliminating many existing redundancies in cloud services.
Noblis has been working closely with GSA on FedRAMP since the initial operational capability in 2012. Under this new contract, Noblis expands its role to include all of the FedRAMP functions, including Information Security System Officer (ISSO) and Program Management Office (PMO) support. Our knowledge and experience with cloud services, advanced tracking tools, and expertise with securing information in diverse environments will enable GSA to safeguard sensitive information in federal cloud offerings and also save time and money by streamlining the process. As a result, agencies will gain access to a greater set of providers with the most advanced and secure cloud offerings available.
FedRAMP is a mandatory program for any agency using cloud services. Chad Andersen, Noblis’ Program Manager for FedRAMP, noted, “The Cloud First policy and Office of Management and Budget mandate for FedRAMP compliance will have far-reaching impacts across all agencies—civilian and defense.
