Noffsinger Insurance Agencies Continue Community Enrichment Program by Fundraising for Kids’ Food Basket

The nonprofit organization’s Sack Suppers program distributes nutritious meals to children every weekday. Kids’ Food Basket began attacking childhood hunger over 10 years ago by serving meals to 125 children with their Sack Supper program. Today, 250 dedicated volunteers pack and deliver nearly 7,500 meals every weekday to kids in western Michigan. They concentrate on providing well-rounded, nutritious meals – nutrition critical to the development of children’s brains and bodies. By distributing the meals in classrooms and local parks, every child who needs a meal can easily and safely receive one. Volunteers also lead juice box and snack drives, as well as educational programs to help kids understand hunger and become part of the solution. Fully one-third of Kids’ Food Basket volunteers are under the age of 18.
