Non-profit and product innovators unite to change beauty stereotypes and safety for children
Chicago, IL and Calgary, AB (PRWEB) April 18, 2017 -- Changing the Face of Beauty and Toddler Monitor announce a strategic partnership in the launch of DECCO the Toddler Monitor, a motion-sensor device designed to alert a parent if their toddler has left their bedroom or safe space. Parents simply hang the device on a doorknob and activate it from a smartphone. If a toddler opens the door, the device senses the motion of the door and sends an alert via the Toddler Monitor App.
Changing the Face of Beauty is a non-profit corporation that is
committed to equal representation of people with disabilities
in advertising and media worldwide. Its goal is to empower people living with disabilities by advocating for inclusive marketing imagery, thus changing perceptions and igniting futures in the media and advertising industries.
“Partnering with groups on their communications campaigns is critical to achieving our goals, and Toddler Monitor was a perfect partner. This product helps to ensure the safety of all children,” says Changing the Face of Beauty's Kristin Malek. “Not only are we working together on the campaign, but Toddler Monitor is generously donating $2 per unit to help advance our mutual visions for inclusion and safety.”
The Toddler Monitor is useful for all children that are on the move, but can also very helpful for children and people with special needs such as Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Dementia or Alzheimer’s, where wandering can be a pervasive challenge.
“We have had so much fun working with Changing the Face of Beauty,” says Toddler Monitor Co-founder Krista Teare. “Our model, Jordan Grace, was an absolute star and clearly loved being in front of the camera. Her energy really comes across in the photos and all the kids had a lot of fun together at the photo shoot.”
Toddler Monitor will be funding the manufacturing of its first run of product by crowdfunding on Kickstarter.
Two dollars from each device purchased will be donated to Changing the Face of Beauty.
